The Green Orb

Image
One night, Millie was up late reading in bed. She finished the book she was reading and looked over to her shelves to see what else she might read before she went to bed. Right there on her shelf was something she had never seen before. It was a blue bottle... she picked it up, carefully... she was surprised how heavy it was... She looked down into the bottle, but it was too dark inside to see anything, so she shook it.  There WAS something inside... Millie shook harder and harder.  Finally something small fell onto the floor.  It was a... .. a ball of some sort. Sitting on the red rug, Millie could easily see now that it was a small green crystal.  She bent down to pick it up and as soon as her skin touched it, the ball started to glow.  The ball slowly grew bigger and bigger, until it was as big as her hand.  All of sudden, she started to spin and spin and spin and her room began to disappear.  Instead of her red rug, the floor was white stone and she was sitting on the cli

WARRIORS!

A book I have been reading is called Warriors, and it is about a cat named Rusty, and he goes into the wild and lives in a clan called Thunder Clan, and has adventures with his friends, and other clans. Rusty is a fire orange cat and when he becomes an apprentice he is called Fire Paw and when he is a warrior he is Fire Heart. his friends are Gray Paw and Raven Paw. The Thunder Clan is one of the five clans there is Thunder Clan, River Clan, Shadow Clan, Wind Clan, and Star Clan. Star Clan is all the dead warriors from all the clans. What I liked about the book is that it is fantasy, adventure, comedy, and mystery.

Onion Juice

Running down the street, the man held back a sob. He wasn’t prone to crying, but today was an exception . His grandpa had just shot him in the face with an onion juice gun.  It was making his eyes water so much.  He felt like all the water in his body was leaving him. So he cried even harder. After he ran out of his cabin, where his grandpa was, he ran to his friend Joe’s house.  When he got there, he kicked open the door, he exclaimed, “ONION JUICE GUN AGAIN!!!” Joe ran over to the man with a basket full of herbs.  He took a pear-like fruit and wrapped a grass-like plant around it and said helpfully, “This will probably clear it up.”  The man ate it quickly and stopped crying immediately. Joe asked him, “Now what happened to make him do it again?” The man said, “It was dinner time and we were having steak.  The salt was at my end at of the table and I had earphones in, listening to music. He asked me quietly to pass it and I did not hear him.  He asked again, then one mor

King Richard's Faire

Image
A few days ago  I, we went to the costume shop at King Richard's Faire. There were mostly hats  and the one in picture was my favorite (the goggles even came off!). The hat didn't fit me and the goggles glass were not the same color one was green and one was red. The hat was a hard leather. just like a leather jacket. Waylon pulled so hard on the goggles strap that it came off and it took him ten minutes to put it back on. Dad put a big fluffy  hat  on me that made my head very warm all over my head and it looked like a old fashion airplane hat. Some other hats looked like a robin hood's sharp hat with a feather, and yet other ones look like Indiana Jones's hat with a feather and without one. Also at King Richard's Faire, I got to do cross bow firing and it was very hard. You had to pull very hard and very fast on the lever in the back, and the farthest I could shoot was three feet. The man who was running it had an afro wig, a white shirt, and brown

Grand Canyon (HW story from a photograph)

After spending the night, camping, at the bottom of the Grand Canyon, we finally made back it to the top. We spent five hours on the horses getting to the top and it felt really good to get off that saddle and stretch our legs.  The horses names were White, Shady, Speckled and Blue.   Now it was time for lunch.  We decided to sit in one of very few shady spots near the edge of the canyon.  We had a picnic all ready in the car in some ice.  For lunch we had an entire turkey, pumpkin pie, garlic bread and spaghetti squash.  It was delicious!  Before we left, we went on the Skywalk. It was an amazing time looking through the glass, down, down, down into the canyon.  This is a picture that we took together of me leaning backwards and my mom catching me before I pretended to fall.  Actually I did fall, but I was ten feet away from the edge and the hill kept getting steeper, so it looked like I was going to fall off the edge of the canyon, but I just fell onto the ground.
