Going home from Amsterdam

The first thing that we did in the morning was walking along one of the canals in Amsterdam because our flight back home was at 3:00. We walked along Singelgracht canal for about 30 minutes until Baba wanted to go back because she thought if we waited for any longer we would miss the plane. On the way back we went a quicker way and got back in fifteen minutes. Then I told Baba that we could walk around for about another hour before we had to leave. I suggested that we walk around a nearby park for the remaining hour before we left. She agreed and we walked around the park and around the lakes in Vondelpark before we went back to the hotel. We backed our bags finally and left for the airport. The lines at the airport were extremely long, but we managed to get to the terminal 30 minutes before the plane left. When we arrived it was about 4:00 in the afternoon (because of the time change) and Ezra, Mom and Dad were waiting at the exit to bring us home. For dinner we had Sushi and Ez...

Day #3 in Amsterdam

Image
When I woke up Baba had just left to get breakfast I asked her for a small green cake that I had seen the day before. After she got back I sat up to eat, but my head started to hurt a ton so I sat back down. Lat night I had a headache too, and I thought I could sleep it off, but not yet. I told BBaba that I was not feeling well so she decided to take a walk before our friend Achim visited us.  Achim lives in Germany and he was the one who came to America with his daughter and lived in our house while my family and  I  were  on our trip. After Achim came he and baba went out and walked around while I rested.  They came back at about 1:00 and we went out for an Indonesian lunch. When I woke up, Baba was coming through the door with breakfast similar to most of the days that I have been in Europe. Soon after breakfast, we set out to the bus stop nearby to the airport. From the airport, we took a different bus to the Keukenhof tulip gardens. Daffodils in the tulip gardens Extremely pretty fountains inside of the gardens. Incredible waffles and whipped creme. I think this was the second best waffle I've ever had in my life. Steam powered musical machine in the tulip gardens. Can anyone guess what song it's playing? other non-tulips in the tulip gardens Gold and red tulips. Tulip fields outside the gardens.  More pretty flowers in the gardens A sort of coconut tulip tree.

From Paris to Amsterdam

We woke up in Paris, and I ate a lemon tart before we left for the train station. The train took about two hours  The Amsterdam train station center.  We took a taxi from the train station to our hotel wich we just dropped off our luggage, before immediately heading off to the Ann Frank House. In the Ann Frank House, we were not allowed to take pictures so you'll have to see the house itself to know what the inside looks like. Then we walked home and ate along the way. Half of my club sandwich that I ate for lunch. While we walked back to our hotel we walked across the canals.

We walked to the bus stop that would take us to  Sacré-Cœur man playing cello at the Louvre. He's playing the song Ashokan Farewell. a beautiful building near the bus stop that would take us to Sacré-Cœur. The inside of Sacré-Cœur After we left Sacré-Cœur we went to a place called Sushi Shop wich had an amazing menu. Lunch dessert at paul's patisserie wich is a local bakery. I got a lemon tart, and Baba got a vanilla macaroon. A golden man pretending to be a statue. The Galleries Lafayette mall in Paris that we looked into while walking home from Sacré-Cœur.

From Tours to Paris

Image
We woke up in Tours and ate the same breakfast that we had the day before. Pascal hosted breakfast again and is was just as delicious as last time. Then we went up to our hotel room and finished up the packing that we had started the night before. Then we took a Taki to the train station in Tours. We arrived an hour early and waited around for the train that would bring us to Paris. Somehow the train switched platforms and we did not realize it, so we waited at the platform that it was going to be on for about twenty minutes after our train had left before asking someone if the train was going to come. We then had to get on a train that would bring us to a station that would bring us to Paris. It ended up taking us about the same amount of time to get to Paris then if we were to catch the right train because we took the high-speed train after we had to wait and switch trains. This is my first lunch in Paris. This is beef bourguignon, a classic French bistro lunch...

Seeing the Chateaus of France.

We woke up in our hotel room in Tours and went downstairs for breakfast. A man named Pascal and his partner ran the hotel and Pascal were serving breakfast. He was very nice and served us incredible hot chocolate, croissants, baguette, Nutella, and jam. We ate quickly then got in a cab to the Tourist Office in Tours. From the Tourist Office, we took the van to start our tour of the Chateaus of France. This is Clos Luce, the Chateau where Leonardo da Vinci died. It has many of his incredible inventions inside of it. This was his workshop where he started his paintings, sketches, and designs for his inventions.
