Traveling to Mont Saint-Michel

We woke up in France, still on the ferry heading to Saint Malo. When we arrived at the port we walked to the side of the boat they connected to the dock and walked down the ramp to the dock, and to the ferry center. From there we took a taxi to the bus station. taking a bus to Mont Saint-Michel was not our original idea, however, while in the taxi, the driver told us that a bus would be leaving to Mont Saint-Michel ten minutes from when we arrived.

Sunrise from our window on the ferry across the channel.

  1. In the posting next to this one you say that you bought and enjoyed a large Toblerone. This is a very sensible survival strategy for a traveler, because you never know when you might find yourself in a country where the people eat frogs' legs and snails. I assume you developed this strategy in China, where people eat squid and duck blood. Japan, at least, had ice cream donuts, but China...?

  2. How was the overnight boat ride? Did you sleep wonderfully -- or not so much?
